12 week sonogram

well..the twins were rockin out like they were at a Bon Jovi concert. Baby B cooperated and even posed for pictures. Baby A on the other hand decided to stand on his/her head the entire sonogram.

When the sonogram first started, we saw the babies immediately! They were bouncing all over the place. Then Baby B stopped and even looked like he/she was waving. Now Baby A got a little camera shy and decided to hide. We got a fabulous shot of its foot! I had to move around to see if Baby A would cooperate, but sadly Baby A chose to stand on its head.

The sonogram tech said the babies looked great. They had strong heart beats and were a good size. It sounds crazy..but the babies are a day apart, so one baby is a bit bigger than the other.

Chad has a theory about this...
It is a medical fact that 'Boy" sperm takes longer to get to the egg and usually die before reaching the egg.."Girl" sperm are faster and live longer.
Chads theory is:
Since we have one baby a day older than the other baby...the bigger baby (baby A) is a boy since that sperm dies off faster and the smaller baby (baby B) is a girl since they live longer and are more vital.

Sooooo ? We will find out what we are having next month...we are so excited to know what we are having!

It was so crazy getting to see double trouble bouncing around inside my belly today. It is amazing how you can love someone so much with out even knowing them yet. I constantly worry about them and worry if I am doing the right thing for the babies. It is crazy to know that our lives will never be the same. We are so happy and so blessed. We can not believe we are going to be parents to TWINS!
We totally caught up with Michelle and David and Tanner and Keila. I guess you can say we are over achievers!

Everyone has been so supportive, and so wonderful! My moms dear friend Nannette seems to bring her jokes every time we talk...she is bound and determined that I have triplets! She believes the third baby is hiding behind my liver! I have decided she secretly hates me! haha!

Thank you for all your prayers and sweet words. Chad and I are blessed to have such a supportive family! Kallie seems excited to become a cousin and a sister herself. Keila is a few weeks a head of me (even though I look like I am four months ahead of her). Spencer went ahead and named the twins the other day. 1 and 2. Simple and to the point. He is so smart.
We are so excited to know that our babies are going to have amazing cousins who will love them and show them the ropes.

More updates to come...here are the twins pics at 12 weeks!

Pregnancy at 11 weeks....

Well I am at 11 weeks and I am starting to feel better! Not 100%, but a lot better than before. We have our 12 week sonogram next Thursday (Oct 16) and our next Dr. Apt the following Thursday (Oct 23). We are so ready to see our babies again!

Although I have been super sick and I have a belly bigger than some who are already close to 20 weeks, It still seems unreal that I have two babies in there! I told Chad I am just ready to see them again so I can reassure myself everything is OK...I worry constantly that I am not doing enough, or doing something wrong. I just need to see them and hear their sweet heart beats and I will breathe a HUGE sigh of relief! At least for a little bit, then I will be waiting for the next sonogram!

Poor Chad. He has to put up with so much. My random moods, my emotional cry fests, my random taste in food, never knowing if I want to eat it until I see and smell it, sickness, headaches, sleepless nights, back pain, cravings, pickle snow cones, clam chowder, pickles cookies and many many other random not attractive pregnancy issues! He has been wonderful! Never complains, gets me anything and everything. He takes care of me everyday and constantly worries about me and the babies all day long.

I am so very lucky to have him and our babies are so lucky to have him as their father!!

Just a thought: If you ever meet a pregnant lady, and this is her very first pregnancy..PLEASE refrain from awful scary stories! All you do is freak them out and cause them to stress.

EXAMPLE:

I was minding my own business when a lady I once worked with walks up to me to congratulate me on my pregnancy. We started talking and this is how the conversation went:

Her: How far along are you?

Me: 10 weeks

Her: When is your next sonogram?

Me: At 12 weeks, so excited.

Her: Oh. Well you know I was pregnant?

Me: um no I didn't

Her: Yes. had a DNC a few days ago.

Me: oh my goodness, so sorry.

Her: Yeah, went in for my 12 week sonogram and there was no heartbeat.

Me: (a dirty look) wow.

Her: yeah, so be prepared., It happens a lot is what my Dr said.

Me: ( a really bad look) OK.

Moral of the story is...don't be that girl!
